Who are we?

We are a small, local, family friendly team originally founded by Carla and Neil, (with the support of their respective partners Calvin and Dalit) shortly after to be joined by our International Award winning head chef Ian.

 

Together, we make up the nucleus of the team, however we have now extended to include other members, hand picked to provide the best service to our customers.

 

Our chefs are incredibly passionate about food and so our ethos is to provide fresh food, cooked from scratch at good prices, but in a great environment.

Urban Chai is situated opposite a children's play park, which makes it perfect for families, as we always say 'happy children = happy parents.' So once the children have eaten, they can go and play, leaving the adults to relax and enjoy!

 

We are also next to Supersol, and so can provide a welcome break from shopping.

Great Healthy food

“Urban Chai is just what we needed after a hard workout at Crossfit Marbella. We were looking for some hearty healthy food that didn't consist of sticks and berries. We found easy parking down the street and am agreeable menu. Food was unpretentious and delicious. Straight and to the.... belly.”

Sunday Lunch Under The Trees

Don't be fooled by this tiny tucked away cafe/restaurant. The Sunday lunch is excellent, the service friendly and the whole thing is relaxing. Right by a park so the kids can play (but you can see them while you sip your wine!) and you can eat in the sunshine or inside. My favourite spot is under the trees in dappled sun! Not just for Sunday's - breakfast and lunches all week.

Fresh - Wholesome - Cool - Love it!

Such a relief to find this gem! Perfect for our difficult to please family - inc carnivore teen, fussy vegetarian kids. We dined with ladies lunching, couples, locals chatting. The healthy menu is cooked from scratch & I'm sure there's something for everyone. The decor & ambience is 'Ibiza' cool, we could have spent all afternoon relaxing. There's a great park opposite for the kids & on street parking. We received a warm welcome from the owner, waitress & chef Ian.  Hopefully when we return to Spain Urban Chai will be open for dinner too.
